- Assess the incident.
- Conduct monitoring of the environment.
- Control hazards.
- Prepare for entry into the confined space.
- Enter a confined space.
- Package the victim for removal from a confined space.
- Remove all entrants from a confined space.
- Terminate the confined space incident.
- Identify and document isolation methods.
- Identify & evaluate various configurations of confined spaces.
- Recognize general and site-specific hazards.
- Conduct a bystander and victim interview.
- Operate atmospheric monitoring equipment.
- Conduct monitoring in a confined space environment.
- Use & confirm calibration of detection & monitoring equipment.
- Perform a rescuer pre-entry medical exam.
- Recognize and perform basic management of various traumatic injuries and medical conditions.
- Select & operate rescue and retrieval systems & equipment.
